Las Margaritas, Chiapas, Mexico

Medic Outpost has been busy in the field! We conducted "Pasantes" training at the Las Margaritas Clinic in Chiapas at the end of March 2021 and it was a pleasure to train this group!

Pasantes are fifth -year medical students who go into rural communities to complete a year of social service as the local doctor. Medic Outpost trained five pasantes in how to conduct our Community First Responder Program.

Many people that they will teach don't read or write, and often speak dialects different from standard Spanish. These pasantes certainly have a tough task ahead of them in training and equipping these communities!

Medic Outpost funds their posting for three months to train 40 community members in the Medic Outpost Community First Responder Program content.
